I have just bought this pole and it’s the best I’ve ever had. I have owned pole by Preston, maver, daiwa, and never had a section break. Judging by the anglers I’ve seen on the bank….it’s no wonder they break sections. Poles up in the air trying to land fish, silly elastic grades that’s not recommended, no end of clueless anglers. Check out these poles especially the mtx 3, they are phenomenal for the price…a quality pole.

I've broken the no six section three times now, and the no three once. The pole seems very fragile to me.

Super light and strong at 16m. Feels so much lighter than my Daiwa TDP412 that I can believe there is only 120 grams between the two!

I upgraded to this from the MVR Competition. Night and day a way better pole. Much better than anything else i've handled even in its price range. It isn't as light as i'd thought it might be but what stiffness and responsiveness.... Just an awesome pole. It feels stronger than my MVR competition as well. I have broken cleanly through the 6 section as i was margin fishing with paste and giving it the zorro strike so it's not an out and out carp pole obviously(get the fighting 4,5,6 for it) but the responsiveness and handling at 14.5 and 16 is unbelievable compared to others i have used. Mine was several years old and had already had two owners so age hasn't degraded it much(i would assume). Negatives - its WAY shorter than listed, with the powerlite kits in it's over a meter shorter than listed. With the match kits it depends on how much you cut it back, I use powelite tips in the match no.2 so all kits are the same length. Another negative- when i ordered a new 6 from maver they sent a stronger, reinforced, slightly heavier section with graphics on it that bares no similarity to the original six!!! That was baffling and disappointing, although i have to say all my other dealings with Maver have been excellent both in terms of having sections in stock and their speed shipping them out. I'm still trying to sort this out. Spares and true length aside, i cannot recommend this pole highly enough for all around performance.

Great pole for the money, super strong and great at 13m. Fixable at 14.5 m but gets a bit heavy at 16m but won’t let you down. Better with a short no 3

I have had the pole for one year. The package is good, but have added a few extra top 2s which are good value. The pole has performed well with carp up to near doubles. There is one criticism and that is the pole gets very, very hot in bright sunlight. I have had several poles over the years and all get hot in bright sunlight, but this pole gets exceptionally hot. Pole is relatively easy to handle at full length, ideal at 13mtrs. All in all a good pole for the price.
